Amplifying a Brand’s Impact Through Immersive Spectacles
To kick off the "What Starts Here Changes the World” campaign, the University of Texas The University of Texas wanted to make a bold statement for the launch of their “What Starts Here Changes the World” campaign. The goal: ignite the city of Austin with a larger-than-life multimedia experience featuring fireworks, live performances by The Black Pumas, and dynamic projection mapping on the historic UT Tower.
Our objective was to transform the iconic tower into a storytelling canvas — using video content to energize the crowd and set the tone for the University’s $3 billion fundraising effort.
Coordinating Complex Creative and Technical Teams
Executing this ambitious vision required seamless collaboration with the University’s creative team, pyro technicians, live event producers, and external vendors.
Content Development: We created a series of animated video sequences that synced with the live performance, using space-themed visuals and artistic motifs tailored to The Black Pumas' music.
Projection Mapping: The content was strategically mapped onto the UT Tower, creating an awe-inspiring spectacle that turned the historic structure into a towering narrative display.
Building Emotional Connections and Driving Engagement
The grand opening event, with its blend of live music, fireworks, and projection mapping, garnered extensive media coverage and captivated audiences across the state. The visually compelling content helped amplify the University’s message, driving emotional resonance with potential donors and setting the stage for the University’s ambitious fundraising campaign.
